September 2013 Departing Missionaries

We had an opportunity to experience patience and flexibility for our departing batch. We always like to prepare a nice meal for our departing missionaries, followed by a testimony meeting. However, due to some newly-enforced fingerprint requirements that were needed for them to leave the country, our foreign missionaries had to go to Manila two days early. We managed to get all the departing missionaries together for a testimony meeting and batch picture before the foreign missionaries left. We made a second trip to the bus stop two days later to transport the Filipino missionaries. I am so proud of our wonderful missionaries! They adapted to last-minute changes in the schedule and no one complained about not receiving their nice home-cooked meal. We know they have served the Lord with all their heart, might, mind and strength. They returned with honor to their families and friends. We encouraged them to "retain their brightness."
(L-R) Elder Tapusoa, Elder Millevo, Elder Machen, Elder Shaw, Sister Fernando, Elder Majaba, Elder Discaya and Elder Tumanuvao.

Elder Machen and Elder Millevo were Assistants to President Monahan.
We appreciate their hard work and dedication.
