Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) - UPDATE

Update:
The hardest hit areas were in Tacloban on the island of Leyte. The tremendous winds, rain and flooding have caused much damage and many people have lost their homes. We are unsure of the death toll at this time.  Please remember them in your prayers.

I've received a few emails and Facebook posts asking about  Typhoon Haiyan (local name: Yolanda).  The typhoon missed the areas within the Urdaneta Mission.  All of our missionaries are safe.  The high winds, rains and flooding were located south of Luzon. So far, all we have experienced are dark clouds and some rain, but no wind.  Our thoughts and prayers are with those in the affected areas.

  2. Thanks for the update, I didn't even think to check here. We have just been glued to the reports and were satisfied after watching the path of the storm that our mission would be safe. Thanks for the confirmation!
